Premium Linen
Yarns Dyed in
Our Factory
Wet-spun 100% linen yarns — natural, bleached, or dyed in over 140 colours. Produced and dyed at our own AB Siulas factory in Lithuania — the oldest linen manufacturer in the country, operating since 1928.

Where Every Linen Fabric Begins
At our AB Siulas factory, linen yarn is not just a raw material we purchase — it is the foundation of everything we create, and we have full control over its quality from the very start. Our facility in Biržai, Lithuania, houses its own yarn dyeing department, allowing us to colour linen and cotton yarns in-house before they ever reach the loom. When you buy yarn from Linen Fashion, you are buying directly from the manufacturer.
This vertical integration is rare in the linen industry. Most manufacturers rely on pre-dyed yarns from external suppliers, limiting their flexibility. Because we dye our own yarns, we can offer an exceptionally wide palette of colours — from soft pastels to deep, saturated tones — and update our shade card each season to reflect the latest trends in home textiles and fashion.
Our primary product is wet-spun 100% linen yarn at a count of Nm 17.9, available in single thread or twisted from two, three, or four plies. Wet spinning produces a smoother, stronger yarn with a more refined surface — ideal for weaving high-quality fabrics.
For half-linen fabrics, we also dye cotton yarns (40/2 count) in-house, ensuring colour consistency across blended textiles. Whether you are a professional weaver, textile manufacturer, or craft enthusiast, our yarns provide the quality, colour range, and reliability needed for exceptional results.
The name of our factory carries its purpose.
Siulas — a yarn — is where every fabric begins.
From a single thread, textiles are born.
We chose this name because yarn is the very first step in the production journey. Every linen fabric we weave, every garment and home textile we sew, traces its origin back to a single dyed thread. The yarn is not merely a raw material — it is the beginning of the story. At AB Siulas, that story has been unfolding since 1928. And here at Linen Fashion — our online store — we bring these yarns directly to you.

Browse All ColoursYarn Dyeing Under One Roof
Our AB Siulas factory is one of the few remaining European linen manufacturers that dyes its own yarns. This capability — maintained continuously since our founding in 1928 — is the foundation of our product quality and creative flexibility.
When you dye yarn before weaving, the colour penetrates deeper into each fibre. The result is more stable, longer-lasting colour that won't fade. It also allows complex patterns — stripes, checks, jacquards — to be woven directly into the fabric structure.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is wet-spun linen yarn?
Wet spinning passes flax fibres through water during spinning, producing a smoother, stronger yarn — ideal for weaving fine, even fabrics with a refined surface texture.
What does Nm 17.9 mean?
Nm (metric number) indicates yarn count — 17.9 metres per gram. This is a standard medium-weight linen yarn suitable for a wide range of woven fabrics.
Why is yarn-dyed better than piece-dyed?
Dyeing yarn before weaving allows deeper colour penetration, producing more vibrant, wash-resistant results. It also enables woven-in patterns like stripes and checks.
Can I order custom colours?
Yes. For wholesale, our AB Siulas dyeing team can match specific Pantone or RAL references with consistent batch quality. Contact the factory for details.
Where can I buy small quantities?
Individual cones are available right here at Linen Fashion — the official online store of our AB Siulas factory. Over 140 colours, shipped worldwide directly from the manufacturer.
What certifications do your yarns hold?
All yarns are OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 certified and produced from European Flax™ — guaranteeing safety, traceability, and sustainable raw material.
