Fabric Woven at the Source
When you purchase linen fabric from Linen Fashion, you are buying directly from the factory floor. AB Siulas controls the entire production chain — from dyeing raw yarn through weaving on modern looms to the final finish — all under one roof. This vertical integration means consistent quality, competitive pricing, and an unmatched variety of over 1 000 fabrics in more than 140 colours.
Our collection includes pure linen for those who prefer the authentic hand-feel of 100 % flax, as well as linen-cotton and linen-wool blends. For bedding, curtain, and upholstery projects, we offer extra-wide fabrics up to 300 cm (118″) — wide enough for seamless bedcovers and panel curtains. Every fabric is available in natural and pre-washed finish.
Fabric Specifications
Understanding Linen Fabric Weight
Fabric weight, measured in grams per square metre (gr/m²), is one of the most important factors in choosing the right fabric for your project. Lighter fabrics (110–180 gr/m²) suit clothing, sheer curtains, and table runners. Mid-weights (180–280 gr/m²) work for most home textiles. Heavier weights above 280 gr/m² are ideal for upholstery, bath towels, and structured outerwear.
Natural vs. Pre-Washed
Natural-finish fabrics retain the characteristic crispness of freshly woven linen and will soften with each laundering. Pre-washed fabrics are immediately supple, with minimal further shrinkage — perfect when you need predictable dimensions for sewing projects.

What Can You Make with Our Fabrics?
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the widest fabric you offer?
Our widest fabrics measure up to 300 cm (118″) in both pure linen and linen-cotton options — ideal for bedding and wide curtain panels.
What is the difference between natural and washed fabric?
Natural fabrics retain the crisp texture of freshly woven linen and will soften with laundering. Pre-washed fabrics are industrially softened, giving you a supple hand-feel with minimal further shrinkage.
Where are these fabrics made?
All fabrics are woven at the AB Siulas factory in Biržai, Lithuania — the country's oldest linen manufacturer, operating since 1928. Linen Fashion is the official online store of this factory.
Can I order fabric samples before buying?
Yes. You can purchase small fabric cuts to test colour, texture, and weight before committing to a full metre order.
Do you offer wholesale or custom orders?
Absolutely. For bulk orders, custom colourways, or bespoke weaving specifications, please contact the AB Siulas factory directly.
What certifications do your fabrics hold?
Our fabrics are OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 certified and carry the European Flax™ designation, confirming the flax is grown and processed in Europe.
How much shrinkage should I expect?
Natural-finish fabrics may shrink 3–5 % on the first wash. Pre-washed fabrics will see less than 1–2 % further change. Always pre-wash before cutting for sewing projects.
What fabric weight is best for clothing?
For most garments, look for fabrics in the 130–200 gr/m² range. Lighter weights suit summer dresses and blouses, while mid-weights work for trousers and structured shirts.
