Traditional Hemstitch Detail
Hemstitch creates a narrow openwork line by withdrawing and grouping threads near the edge of the fabric. It adds structure and decoration without introducing a printed pattern.
The collection includes different constructions. LUNA napkins, for example, are made from 52% linen and 48% cotton at around 160 g/m², while selected NARA washed linen styles are 100% linen and around 265 g/m².
Sizes and Different Hemstitch Styles
Examples of current sizes include 24 × 24 cm, 31 × 31 cm, 34 × 34 cm, 37 × 37 cm, 42 × 42 cm, 47 × 47 cm, 50 × 40 cm and 50 × 50 cm.
Some products use a single hemstitch line, others place the hemstitch several centimetres from the edge, and selected NORA napkins combine a double row of hemstitch with a lace border.
Made in Lithuania
The fabrics are woven and the napkins are sewn in Lithuania by AB “Siūlas” in Biržai.
