Plain Tablecloths: Compare the Fabric and the Border
A plain appearance does not mean one fabric or one finish. GAMMA is washed 100% linen with a simple hem; LUNA combines 52% linen and 48% cotton with a 4 cm hemstitched border. NARA is washed pure linen with hemstitching 4 cm from the edge. ALBA has a 1.5 cm fringe and decorative stitching, while VEILA adds a wide lace border. VEGA uses a satin weave rather than a plain weave.
Composition, Weight and Finishing
Published weights range from 140 g/m² for DONNA to approximately 265 g/m² for NARA, with 160, 190, 200 and 210 g/m² fabrics also represented. DONNA is the metallic exception in this group: its stated composition is 60% cotton / 30% linen / 10% PES. For undyed natural linen, product notes explain that shades can vary between batches.
